As Florida Goes, so Goes the Greyhound Nation- Campaign Contribution Information
October 19, 2014
Your Campaign Contributions is needed now as the elections and sessions gear up to begin. The next Regular or Special Legislative Session could be critical to live greyhound racing:
Documents obtained by Associated Press show the Fla Governor was willing to give added gambling concessions to Seminole tribe with an exclusive 7 year Compact. ( see the News Article.)
Last year Greyhound Men & Women received over $25 Million in Purses in Florida! If you want that legacy for generations of greyhounds, and the jobs created by racing to continue, please act today!
We need every Greyhound Person to make a Campaign Contribution to help protect Live Greyhound Racing please contact Jim Blanchard or mail your checks PO Box 3193, Bonita Springs, FL 33959.
You can send your contribution in directly. Please make your check out to the “(Candidates Name ) Campaign Fund”. We have included a list of recommended candidates. It is important to include a copy of the Greyhound by Numbers sheet to refresh our industry statistics.
Florida Law limits campaign contributions to $1000.00 from each person or each corporation to a Candidate. Therefore we would recommend that you get together with some other Greyhound Men and Women in your area and consider putting together $1000.00 in checks for each candidate highlighted in green in your area.
Political Action Committees (PAC) have no limit on the amount of a contribution that they may accept. You make a check out for any amount to; The American Peoples Political Committee.
All Contributions will be used to protect Live Greyhound Racing.
For your Campaign contributions to have the maxim impact with a candidate, they need to be hand delivered in person to the Candidate ASAP! If you are unable to do so, please send your contribution to Jim Blanchard.
I would also recommended that ALL FGA / NGA Members consider Volunteering to help these Campaigns. There is no better way to bond with a Member of the Legislature than volunteering a few hours a week in their Campaigns.
Thank you for helping protect live Greyhound Racing.
